ANA CONGRATULATES EX-GENERAL SECRETARY, MAIK ORTSERGA ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has congratulated its immediate past National General Secretary, Mr. Maik Ortserga, on the occasion of his birthday, celebrating his remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the association and the Nigerian literary community.
This was contained in a press statement issued by ANA President, Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi, and the General Secretary, Dame Joan Oji, PhD. The statement described Ortserga as a committed literary figure whose service and dedication have left a lasting impact on ANA’s structure and activities across the country.
According to the statement, Maik Ortserga distinguished himself during his tenure as both Assistant Secretary and later General Secretary of the association, where he demonstrated administrative competence, loyalty, and a deep passion for the advancement of Nigerian literature. His contributions were noted as instrumental in strengthening the association’s programs and outreach.
The association further highlighted Ortserga’s accomplishments as an award-winning poet, publisher, and journalist based in Makurdi, Benue State. It also acknowledged his current role as Editor-in-Chief of The Transmitter Newspaper, where he continues to contribute meaningfully to literary and media discourse in Nigeria.
ANA wished Mr. Ortserga continued good health, greater achievements, and more impactful years ahead. The association expressed confidence that he will keep playing a vital role in promoting literature and inspiring emerging writers within and beyond Nigeria.
