ANA Felicitates Ex-Abuja Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Akerele On Golden Jubilee

ANA FELICITATES EX-ABUJA CHAIRMAN, DR. TAIWO AKERELE, ON GOLDEN JUBILEE

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has felicitated its former Abuja Chapter Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Akerele, on the occasion of his golden jubilee, describing his 50th birthday as a landmark worthy of celebration, reflection, and recognition of a life devoted to service, leadership, and intellectual advancement.


This was contained in a press statement jointly issued by the ANA President, Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi, and the General Secretary, Dame Joan Oji, PhD who extolled Dr. Akerele’s enduring contributions to the Association and the broader literary community.


The leadership of ANA praised Dr. Akerele for his invaluable role in strengthening the Abuja Chapter during his tenure, noting that his commitment significantly advanced the Association’s vision and activities within the Federal Capital Territory.


According to the statement, Dr. Akerele has distinguished himself as a respected policy economist, author, and public servant. Born on March 30, 1976, he served as Chief of Staff to the Edo State Government under Governor Godwin Obaseki from 2016 until April 2020, where he played a pivotal role in governance and policy development.


The statement further highlighted his robust academic and professional background, with studies at globally renowned institutions including Harvard University, Carleton University, Stellenbosch University, University of Ibadan, and University of Benin. His career spans significant roles in banking and international development, including his contributions to World Bank-supported public financial management reforms in Edo State.


ANA also commended his sustained dedication to public service and intellectual engagement, including his role with Policy House International and his appointment as Technical Adviser to the National Project Coordinator of the NGCares Project. 


The Association wished him continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments, affirming his legacy as a distinguished ambassador of both the literary and policy communities.
